Terms of Use

These terms apply when you use Haven at shutuplosr.xyz, its website, or its apps. Haven is a free service run privately for friends and family. It isn't a company. By creating an account or using Haven, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy.
1. Who can use Haven
You must be at least 13. If you're under 18, you need a parent's or guardian's permission. You're responsible for everything done with your account.
2. Your password and recovery code
Haven encrypts your data with a key only your password or recovery code can open. Nobody can reset your password without your recovery code, and nobody can recover your data if you lose both. Keep your recovery code somewhere safe.
3. Your content
What you store in Haven stays yours. You let Haven keep and send encrypted copies of it only so the service works. Haven can't read it.
4. What's not allowed
- Anything illegal, including content that exploits children, or that you don't have the right to store or share.
- Malware, or using Haven to attack, spam or defraud anyone, including sending bulk, unwanted or misleading email from a Haven address.
- Trying to get into other accounts, break Haven's security, or overload the service.
- Creating accounts automatically or in bulk, or reselling access.
- Storing other people's sign-in details or cards without their permission.
5. Storage
Accounts have 5 GB of storage, including files. Accounts on Haven's own domain may have more. Limits can change.
6. Closing accounts
You can delete your account at any time in Account > Delete account. Haven may suspend or delete any account at any time, for any reason or no reason, with or without notice. When an account is deleted, its data is gone for good.
7. No guarantee it's always there
Haven runs on private hardware and may be slow, offline, or stop entirely, without notice. It doesn't promise backups. Keep your own copy of anything important: Account > Your data > Download my data.
8. Saved cards
Haven can store your payment card details for your own reference. It doesn't make payments, isn't a bank or payment service, and isn't connected to any card network.
9. Records about other people
Haven's Grooming tab lets you keep records about your own clients and their pets. You're responsible for that information: only store what you're allowed to, keep it accurate, and delete it when a client asks. Haven doesn't contact your clients or send them anything.
10. Updates
The Windows app updates itself when it starts, and only installs updates signed by Haven. Features may change or be removed.
11. Disclaimer
Haven is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, availability, security, or that data won't be lost.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, whoever runs Haven isn't liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, accounts, money or profits, arising from your use of Haven. Haven is free, so total liability for any claim is limited to zero dollars, where the law allows that.
13. Copyright complaints
If you believe something stored or shared through Haven infringes your copyright, email privacy@shutuplosr.xyz with the details. Haven can't see stored content, but it can act on accounts.
14. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state where Haven's operator lives, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
15. Changes
These terms may change. The date at the top shows the latest version, and signed-up users will be told about important changes by email or in the app before they take effect. Using Haven after that means you accept the new terms.
